About Merrymaking & Caroline

I have been a professional event planner and designer in New York City for six years. In that time, I have worked on everything from a multi-million dollar wedding to a tiny cocktail party, for private, public, and corporate clients around the country and around the world. I love the innovation and creativity of the work.

I also love entertaining friends and family in my home; something I inherited from my mother. Rousing conversation, the warmth and comfort of good company, a delicious meal, wonderful memories of great times - who could ask for anything more in life?

I created this site to share ideas, inspirations, products, and advice culled from my personal and professional experiences. Please note that I do not receive compensation for any products or information featured on my blog unless indicated.

I change the site’s appearance seasonally. The header pattern is created from “Anemone,” a silk damask fabric designed by William Morris.

In addition to Merrymaking, I contribute stories on event and wedding planning to the Stylehound blog and the Designer Monthly e-newsletter for the Sheffield School. I also run my own craft business, nuno studio.

For additional ideas or planning services, you can reach me at merrycaro@gmail.com.

Thank you and please enjoy!
