Stuffed and grilled
Flipping through the ever-delightful Williams-Sonoma catalog a couple of weeks ago I happened on a grilling accessory that simply had me drooling. Its a metal tray designed to grill stuffed jalapeno peppers – one of my all-time favorite treats. I realize this is a one-trick pony as far as accessories go, but what a trick!
My brother-in-law purchased the piece and the recommended corer (pictured at left) and was thrilled with the results at his last barbecue – although he reported that even with the corer, you do have to rinse out the seeds to control the heat factor.
If that doesn’t get your juices flowing, just take a gander at what the Cooking Photographer has done with hers – they are stuffed AND wrapped with bacon.
Jalapeno roaster and coordinating corer, $19.95 and $9.00 respectively, from Williams-Sonoma.
